This Privacy Policy describes how Dropt ("Dropt," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Dropt mobile application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name. If you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google, we receive basic profile information from that provider to verify your identity.

Content You Submit

We collect the thoughts, prompts, highlights, tags, and follow-up messages you submit to the Service, along with the AI-generated research results associated with them.

Usage Data

We maintain limited, aggregate usage counters (such as the number of requests made per day) to enforce fair-use limits. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs and do not track screen views, device identifiers, or behavioral data.

Notification Tokens

If you enable notifications, we collect a push notification token so we can notify you when your research is ready.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; to generate research results in response to your requests; to deliver notifications you have opted into; to enforce usage limits and our Terms of Service; and to communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising or profiling.

3. Sharing and Subprocessors

We share information with a small number of trusted service providers ("subprocessors") that help us operate the Service. These providers are contractually obligated to handle data consistent with this Policy.

• Authentication provider — account creation and sign-in.
• Cloud database provider — secure storage of your account and content.
• AI and search providers — processing of your submitted content to generate research results.
• Notification and app delivery provider — push notifications and application updates.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account remains active. You may delete individual items at any time from within the app. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address below.

5. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our databases, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly within the app, or by contacting us. You may revoke notification permissions at any time through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. International Users

The Service is operated from, and information may be processed in, jurisdictions that may have data protection laws different from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to such processing.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
